Ahoy mates,
This will be my last post at MSW for a while, my friends, due to overwhelming real life issues, I must resign my staff position...it's time to hand over the helm.
I want to thank all of our membership and staff for a great ride, thank you all for your enthusiasm, contributions, and participation in making MSW the best ship modeling site, and a wonderful, comfortable hangout....I've truly enjoyed the experience, and will always hold the memory near and dear.
Keep the fires burning, and the passion for this wonderful hobby strong!
So long mates,
Mark

Mark,
What a long road we've traveled together, from the pre-split Armorama days, to manning the new, post-split Kitmaker genre specific sites. Thanks for all your time and dedication, my friend.
I wish you all the best with your real life stuff. Hang tough, buddy, if you need an ear to bend, you've got my email addie.
Cheers

Mark,
You have done such a great job at the helm of MSW for the past few years. It's hard to imagine what the site would have been like without your guiding hand. You have also assembled a great team during that time and though some of them have also gotten caught up in real life priorities lately the site is still doing great and had its BEST traffic month in December. In December of 2007 (which I think was close to when Mark took over as Managing Editor), we had about 10,000 unique visitors per month. Last month we had over 38,000 unique visitors for Model Shipwrights.
Good luck Mark and we hope to see you around in future.
Sincerely,
Jim

Mark,
I echo all the above statements. I remember coming here the first time and you made me feel like I belonged here, I did not feel this on other boards. Soo, I was doing reviews, then on staff.
You are a great man and it will be hard to replace you, but we will survive.
May you have fair winds and following seas my friend. I hope someday the currents bring you back our way.

Hi Mark
I can only say that I understand perfectly what you are feeling right now...
We have to be reasonable enough not to be selfish regarding "position", for how important that is for our own ego, against the "institution health", in this particular case, Modelshipwrights.
I wish all the best for you and your life, I wish that you can find some hours during the week to go and relax in front of the workbench, and actually build a model (it has been a long time not doing it, right??).
You have done an excellent job as ME - the team will miss you and will remember your work, your enthusiasm and good will.
I am sure that the tradition of a good ME will carry on on MSW.
Stay in touch, even if it is just an email saying I am alive and well
Salute
Cheers
Rui

Best of luck, Mark. Your patience in receiving and reworking my submissions was a tremendous benefit to me. I hope you can return when things get sorted.

That's a very sad news Mark. I hope that what once I wrote you about "keeping you busy" have not had an impact in this decision. I know how you feel and wish you will manage your RL issues succesfully and come back soon!

I haven't been around much so this is the first I've seen this.
Mark I'm sorry to see you step down but I know how life can get in the way of things.
I hope your real life issues aren't anything too serious and that everything works out for you.
Best wishes and if you need anything feel free to contact me.

Ahoy Mark
Sadly I havent surfaced here much lately due to my own real life issues so I have only just heard the news.
Mark I have always been truly inspired by your friendliness and editorial leadership.
You were always there for me personally in the dark moments of this internet forum business and I will always remember it.
All the very best for the future mate.
May you always sail calm waters.
Cheers
