I recently purchased this model and this will be my second attempt at building a ship. How accurate is the academy version of Graf Spee compared to all other 350th versions under $150.00?some of the glaring omissions are the lack of a 3D bow and stern eagle/swastika , that bugs me alot any aftermarket items for that? I am going to purchase PE window hatches at least, how do you apply them? what year does the academy model depict? I want to recreate the ship before it had camo, lots of question I just want to know how much effort to put into this

Well, I have been looking over all three different kits. The Academy, Trumpeter, and the Premium.

The differences between the Academy and Trumpeter I am not 100% about. I am trying to do this from memory. I thought White Ensign had done a PE set.

Also welcome to MSW. I am sure some of the other members will help you out as well.

Hi I have built the Graf Spee premier kit and enjoyed the build but found the antenna detail incorrect (missing forward horizontal mast and the port and stb masts angled to the aft. There are some good photos on the web that are a great help
