Hey all, I'm looking at getting a kit of the vii, I'm not sure how small these things as I'm used to armour scales, but I think I have settled on 1/350+ I think /700 will be way to small. I have seen a few releases from reputable manufacturers , hb, afv, e.t.c but am unsure how they stand for nautical kits . Lpj out

Go for 1:350 or 1:144 if you want that extra detail. 1:700 is way to small for a VII in my opinion.
The AFV club is the best 1:350 VII on the market in my opinion.
Heres a sample: https://archive.kitmaker.net//features/3470
The AFV can easily be done as a waterline og full hull build, some care is needed gluing the hull together, partly because of the peculiar inclusion of a inner hull.

Thanks Jan , just the stuff I need right there. I had a search for /144 kits and only found revel. Are there any other offerings as I really am not into revel kits . If not, it will be the afv model, another quickie, are there any sets for the afv kits ? Cheers, James

Revell is tho only one so far doing a VII in 1:144 - its pretty nice - so definately recomendable.
AFV includes som PE in their offerings - so in my opinion you get what you need except that the base could be better.
