All I can say is that it is a very beautiful model...
I wonder how long it took to build this model though... also, for some reaosn the Baltimore class seems to impress more than earlier US heavy cruiser classes...

Total build time was around 16mo...I work 3rd shift and have 2 kids which limited my time to work on the model...I've always liked the look of the Baltimore's and if a 1/350 plastic version ever comes out I want to build a nice USS St. Paul!

Where did you get the brass posts that the ship is supported on?
I would love something similar for My 1/350 Hood that I'm working on.

Hello Colin,
They are called lamp shade risors and I purchased mine from an online store called The Lamp Shop...these risors come in many sizes ranging from 1/2"-2" and look stunning after polishing!
