Wow, this is a beauty, shows all your skills. Plus I can relate to the history of the build. Thanks for posting this and sharing its story.

A beautifull and attractive build - well done.

One question - and it might just be the light - but ships in that era and those colors have allways looked simigloss to me, or am I wrong off ?

Cheers/Jan

Nice one Bob, while some people think these modern ships are great, you can keep all them and give me these old smokers any day of the week, there is so much more to this style of warship and this has come out in another 1st rate build - thank you for sharing.

Thanks guys! I'm not sure if the real ships were semi-gloss or flat, but I think the ship models look better when they're flat, especially in the smaller scales.

Ahoy there Bob - long time no speak!!!
;)

Well, what to say?
It's your favorite period, it's your usual workmanship, it's the usual result: Excellent!

You have done well and you have honored John Rule with this built (even considering the age of the model)

My hat's off to you! I have the kit in my stash and have taken it out of and put it back into the box so many times I can't count. This kit is not a weekend project for sure.

Now, on a second note I think, that we have seen quite a number of good clean builds from you, Bob! It think it's time you start using same chalks and pencil dust to very slightly weather you builds and highlight the the edges of turrets and superstructures. How about it?

Cheers,
Guido
