Hi everyone
My academy graf spee comes with some dry decals to apply for the hull depth markings. I have never come across these before and need some advice on how to apply them, how to prepare the painted hull first etc.
One side of the transfer is shiny and one side dull but I can't tell on which side the transfer is.
Any help much appreciated.
Regards

Have not seen the particular Academy one but for typical dry transfer, the dull side is to be stuck against the surface.

Fix transfer to spot with tape preferable, dull surface facing the model, then rub the shiny side with something with a round hard point, eg ball point pen. You should be able to see slight discolouration when the ink leaves the backing sheet.

thanks Jim much appreciated. I was wondering if I also needed to give the paint job a coat of future or gloos finish before applying the transfer.

Colin
