I know that this maybe some stupid questions about the Revel Polaris cut-away
submarine model but here it goes.
First of all, how accurate is this kit even though it was manufactured in the 70's? I am a modeler who for some reason can't just build right out of the box, I like to super detail my kits. Is this kit something that would be worth my while as a person who super details?
Would this kit just be a so called dust collector and not worthy of competing in shows?
I know its all in what you make of it,but if I remember correctly it is from the 70's so I'm just not sure what to do. Any suggestions??

I built 4 or 5 of those when I was a kid. As for accuracy, I am guessing they are not very close.

From what I remember they were very basic. But, that could be one heck of a neat superdetail project if you can find some good references.

From the submariners I know, it's not accurate.

On the other hand, how many people will be able to PROVE it?
