Just got a Trumpeter Z-43 as companion for my Dragon Z-39. Both ships are type 1936 (mod) The Dragon is version A, the Trumpeter version B.
In Type B the main change was a return to 12.7cm guns in single mounts compared to 15 cm in single mounts and a twin turret. The hulls are basically similar.
However when i compare the underwater hull of both models, they look very different. The dragon is cut out with a sharp corner in the area of the propeller shafts while the trumpeter hull is rounded in this area. The effect is very notable when seen side by side, too much for "molding tolerance"
I have never seen a dockyard photo of a Narvik destroyer or a drawing showing the exact shape of the aft hull.
Has anybody info or pics to clarify this?
