my latest project..newly released boat from italeri. Italian patrol boat with an unusual underside (hull). the kit looks ok. simple with loaded PE parts to work on. the wooden deck showed planks and division lines of the structure. don't know if it'll show up after painting the kit. anyway here are some WIP pictures.

railings needs trimming and shaving...

trimmed railing on your right..

after building 2 boats from Italeri..the third comes easy..mapping the two tone hull and the red and white stripes will be the challenge...

will post some more pictures..sooner. comments and suggestions are welcome..thanks for viewing.

forgot to add..i used a new material..sintra board. first time i've encountered such material. most useful on building architectural diorama..but has limited use on small details..tried it on the life vest..hard to shaped the parts. i guess modeling putty is a better material.

Hello Ed, Great job, she looks sweet. I particularly like the extra life-jackets. In several of the photos in the included booklet you see the railings covered with them. I wonder if they provided any protection against shell fragments? Judging by the number of really nice builds I've seen, this is a pretty popular kit. Al

Hi Ed,

Great work on the boat, and a nice disposition of the crew. The life jackets seem just a bit too thick for 1/35 scale but I like your idea a lot, they add a nice bit of colour to the boat.

A grand looking model you've got there.
