Hey, me again, LOL
I have two questions concerning ship building, I plan on building my 1/350 USS Hornet, and 1/350 USS Essex soon and I had a few ideas I want to do
1. Can anyone point me in the right direction on where to aquire those awesome brass mounts that you use to mount the hull to a wood base?
2. Can anyone provide instruction, or point me to a thread here or online somewhere that can demostrate how to light the hangar deck of a carrier?
I want to do full hangars for these ships and I want to do it right
Many thanks in advance

We love questions.
The answer to #1 is sort of a non answer. Anyway, those brass parts are called risers. They go on lamps and can be found at some hardware stores. I actually have a web site that sells those, but it might be on my home computer.
#2. I am not sure, but I have a guy who has done it. I can ask him. Also look at the Enterprise feature here by Louis Carabott. He has done lighting before.
I will get back with more info later!

Thanks for the info
I am not in a super rush for the risers yet, still waiting on PE sets for Hornet
If you can get the link whenever, thank you very much
Do you have a link for the Enterprise Feature? I searched, and I cannot believe the responses for Enterprise

Many thanks, both of you
I will use the brass risers for my carriers and my USS Cole
In the next few weeks, I will post some pics of my completed USS Lassen, the Trumpeter 1/350 kit, but for that, I used an old display stand from a Dragon kit I used for practice
I will keep looking for the Enterprise article so I can do my lighting in the Hornet and Essex
