EJASONK!

Thanks for the review, I really appreciate the comparison with the other 1:350 offering as it will help me decide which one to buy.
Yeah, Bronco has that bottom hull split in halves so that it can offer a waterline option (separation top to bottom higher than the midline). Hopefully the seam will be manageable - it was the same in their Akula that I reviewed. Also it seems an approach now shared by many (Airfix, Riich, etc.).

Well, things changed a bit..
After writing this review, which was a "what's in the box" Review, i started to compair Bronco's Borei with the real one and there are some inaccuracies.

1.
The squarish flooding section in the rear of the sub have grids, while Bronco is showig gills.

Also there is one hole missing in the rear section on the upper side.

2.
The rocket bay doors are wrong shaped. There are some limbs on the roundet edges of the door kurves, Hobby Boss looks much better here. The limbs are roundet, while Bronco made it squared. And actually the inside of the rocket doors is wrong. The bays are completely empty, while Bronco has this "plastic body" under the doors.

3. Safety railing lines look better on Hobby Boss. There they are very thin molded, like they have to be on real sub, while on Bronco they are molded too thick. Also they are wrong shaped on Bronco's Borei.

4. The shape of the upper part of the hull is doubtful. On the edges (when front-looking) the bump is too round. The rear part of the bump is not as promiment as on Hobby Boss. For me HB did a better job there.

5. All the hatches and doors are also different on the models. I thing Hobby Boss is looking better and more complete.

After first good impressions i was dissapointed.
Soo..there is a lot of work to make Bronco's Borei looking correct.
Quality : great !
Accuracy : bad.

Ah-ha!

In the end it's the same game as their Akula then!
Well, thanks for coming back to us with these "discoveries".
Also, very interesting pic. I lack such good close-up shots, especially of the rear part.

Thanks!
