They are also to be available as separate figures but I'm not clear whether the set comes with alternative heads/arms of just the individual figures.
Either way some good news for RN builders in this scale.

The set arrived the other day. Haven't had a good look at them yet but they do come with the alternative arms etc.

Yes, if I get the time today or this weekend I'll post some up. I was going to do a review on them for Shipwrights. I'd never head or ADV before so want to checkout who they are.
There are alternative poses for some of them which is nice.
ADV also offer a set of separate heads.

Hello Alan, I have a question. Wearing those heavy duffle coats, would these figures be suitable for a Malta based boat? I admit to being pretty clueless on conditions in the 'Med'.

Hi Al,

I thought that with new heads these would possibly work well on a Med Boat. Both Hornet and ADV have some head sets. U Models also have a French Captain sitting in a chair that could possible be easily adopted for the Med!

Thanks for the info. I figured it probably did get cold, wet, and stormy in the Med, but I just wanted some confirmation. Those Mini-art figures are interesting, lots of possibilities there. Al

Hi folks,
Would anyone have a reference for the 'Captains' jacket, 2nd picture down. With a closed collar and 5 single buttons I can't see a WW2 match suitable.
Any thoughts?

Can't remember the correct name for the uniform, but could be "dress whites" often called the "Ice cream suit" , white high collared single breasted jacket and long white trousers. Not exactly MTB rig I know, but I can't think of another uniform that matches that..

Hi Simon,
The only thing I can find that is similar is White No 10 Officers Undress which is a Med type summer uniform worn by high ranking types!
It has the look of something possibly from WW1!
Not sure where they referenced it from but I can't find anything similar for WW2 and MTB crews.

I think that is the uniform Al, said I couldn't remember the correct name.
googled images of Admiral Cunningham, found several on the 1st page, White uniform, high collar. 5 buttons, it appears in one of them most of his staff are wearing the same kit.
Might do for base staff officer in a diorama of the boat alongside the jetty, but can't see MTB types putting up with that rig though.

Sould be possible to turn the upturned collar in to a jumper and add a collar for the jacket and a new set of buttons with maybe some wellie boots!
