For those with little to do this weekend, come down to Greenwich and see the Heli carrier HMS Ocean along with many small craft.

A good photo Alec, but it's not the most elegantly lined ship I have ever seen
Probably very practical in use but bears a strong resemblance to a motorized bath-tub.
Cheers,

Sadly thanks to Camron we haven't got a real navy any more, and this little heli carrier is our largest ship, until 1014.2020 when we're suppose to be having 2 full blown aircraft cariers

Hope the Argies wait until then to invade the Falklands again
Cameron is nearly handing the islands to them on a platter.
Cheers,
Julian

Don't forget we still have those giant white plastic swans, and those boats that go across to the IOW, so that's probably what is keeping them away lol

Sounds a bit like us. At least we are getting 2 of those rather large Spanish AMphibs and some of their Aegis Destroyers.

HMS Ocean 308 by warship, on Flickr
There are quite a few now, the bulk has gone to Maritime Quest where you'll see many more in the coming weeks.

Let's just hope the UK gets it right with the Queen Elizabeth & POW carriers & lets the RN decide their final design. Now if only we could persuade our gov to purchase 12 astute class subs!

Without politicising this great site, I'd recomend all supporters of the white ensign take a look at this site: http://www.savetheroyalnavy.org/
