I have the 1/200th Bismark on pre-order from "Der Sockelshop" in Germany.
The information is tantalizing but unreadable. Is there a way you can put up a link to the flyer in a readable form?
cheers,
Julian

Julian, I agree with you totally. Unfortunately there isn't a larger image to give us a clear look at the text. I tried enlarging it myself but it didn't do much good. From what little I could decipher it looks like:
All guns from the AA and larger can be swiveled and barrels elevated (excluding the AA guns).
Main guns include interiors and turned aluminum barrels.
Radiators/Thermovents can be positioned open or closed.
PE is kept to a minimal, only being used when necessary for ultra-fine detail.
PE canopy frame is included for the Arado 196-A1 seaplane.
Metal chain included for anchor.
I hope this is helpful to you.
Jeremy H.

Yes, that does clarify some points. It also looks like the innards of the main battery barbette's are included, ( similar to Tamiyas new Yamato). It looks as if there is a more comprehensive PE set included than on the Arizona.
Will be interesting to see how this model shapes up compared to the Arizona offering.
Cheers,
Julian

That is exactly what it looks like to me as well. I don't know how it will compare to the Arizona as I have never actually seen the kit, but this kit looks like it's going to be worth the money and looks like it will be an absolute joy to build OOB.
I think I can safely say we are all looking forward to seeing this kit's release whether or not we can afford it

I have this on preorder as well. I cannot believe I actually did it, but I just had to have this ship.
Lucky for me I can drive to pick it up from Freetime when she arrives.

You already have one for the Arizona

You can count on a review as soon as I get my sweaty little hands on it.
Any interest in a review of the Badger Krome?
Treated myself to one and am head over heels in love with it, (mrs. Gremlin56 won't let me take it to bed though)

cheers,
Julian

I was actually sent a review sample of the Badger Krome and am currently writing up my review for it, so we'd actually appreciate it if you held off on that for now. I certainly share your enthusiasm for the Krome, and your commentary would very much be appreciated once my review is posted

Can't wait to see your review of the Bismark as well, that is going to be one massive hull!

Hello Julian, two questions, does Mrs. Gremlin have any idea of the size of this thing? Secondly, where will you be sleeping when she does find out? Did you finish the Wasp? I kinda lost track of the build.

Hi Al, I have been goofing off, building aircraft and having a lot of fun on short duration builds. The Wasp is still not finished

Mrs. Gremlin56 ordered the Bismark from Frank Brechman for my birthday (must be true love ordering something nearly as long as her own Volvo).
(must be true love ordering something nearly as long as her own Volvo).
I have absolutely no idea where I am going to store the thing

Buy a Krome airbrush They are great, ( modelshipwrights didn't want my review because they evidently got some freebees). Best airbrush around though

Your Vosper is the "Bee's Knee's" as far as I am concerned, crewmen look great.
Cheers,
Julian

Due at White Ensign some time in October, with the price around £200.00. Once we have it in hand, we'll get one off to Peter Hall for a WEM photoetch design.

Will be worth waiting for

You can get it cheaper from Frank Brechmann in Germany though. 200 quid is rather steep, my example will be 119 Euros ...................................
Your Arizona set was an excellent build boost for my Arizona blog,
Cheers,
Julian

I would love to see that

Great news John! It looks like it has been engineered for an overall nicely detailed and enjoyable build straight from the box, but I can certainly see some areas where ultra fine detail would make this beauty even closer to the real thing!
The enthusiasm for this kit is amazing! I too will have to resist looking at it in person, and sparingly online, as my budget can't take the hit right now

I think I'll join Jan in picking it up at a later date

I knwo how you feel regarding the budget Jeremy, and like Julian I have the C in C to consider, I fear she may not exactly be overjoyed at a box that size. I bet it woukd provake a question a fair few of us a heard....
"what are you going to do with it when you have built it?"
and that's if I am lucky...
But if there is a will there is a way
