So you actually counted them ??
I have no experience with 1:700 - do you need to clean them up from the inside or can´t it be seen ?
It´s happy days for modellers...

I did count them Jan just to find out how many I did. It took me about an hour to do them. I only clean them up on the Hull exterior as they won't be seen from the inside as the Flightdeck and the Waterline Plate will hide the Interior.....Cheers Mark

That's a very ambitious project in 1/700th scale Mark.

Zuikaku! Except for Midway she fought in ever carrier action from Pearl Harbor to Santa Cruz -- which, incidentally, was fought 70 years ago tomorrow!
The ship Zuikaku was lucky as it was never hit by a bomb or torpedo until June of 1944, and her experienced crew contained the damage. By now Zuikaku was the only survivor of the six fleet carriers that had launched the attack on Pearl Harbor.

Fantastic work on the 1/700 etch Mark. I would throw in the towel here, 1/350 is the smallest AFAIC .

Mark, your work in 1/700 both inspires and terrifies me. A healthy combination I think, your results are well worth the effort.
