For anyone interested in really large scale subs, PMMS has posted news of Bronco's Type XXlll U Boat in 1/35 scale. I think it measures out to about 19 - 20 inches in real size.

And BTW according to wikipedia type XXII was 34,7 m long... in 1/35 it's about 39 inches if I am right

Guess you're right. I must have been converting to a different scale. Even more impressive! It'll look good berthed beside Italeri's dock sections. Add a Biber or two, and a Seehund, and there you go!

Yeah, the sail itself looks to be a good 7-8" long by itself. This is going to be one big kit.
