Santa Cruz 1942 Carrier duel in the South Pacific is the 247th title in Osprey’s Campaign series. You will find detailed descriptions and erudite supposition of the doctrines, theories, assessments, and timelines of the men, units, and weapons that battled each other under the stormy skies of the South Pacific. Supporting the text are dozens of photographs; informational sidebars; Orders of Battle for both combatants; color maps and Osprey’s special bird’s-eye 3-D illustrations; and original color battlescenes.

I just had a chance to take a quick look through this book last week and it looked very well done at first glance. I'm glad to see it holds up well in your review. This book is certainly overdue, and the battle at Santa Cruz deserves the excellent coverage that Midway has and continues to receive.
Thanks for getting this up
