Well, I think she be as finished as she is going to be for the moment.

From one of those photos it looks like I have a little straightening to do on one of my boat davit bracing wires. Oh well.
When I finally get a copy of the decals I will print them and see about some details that were provided by decals I didn't know about. It was too late to paint the detail when I worked it out. D'OH!
Any way. I'm off to the stash to work out what to build next. I have a feeling it is going to be an ironclad..
Cheers

Thanks Anthony. If only the deck had been correct it would have been a lot easier..

Hi Mark

Hot enough for you?

Cherish it Mark as they are discontinued. Hopefully one day they will re-release it as I want the Dresden as well.

Cheers
Warren

Hi Warren. Sorry I have not been around lately but life got in the way. It has been stinking hot around here with a nare of a Sea Breeze. I can give you the Decal Sheet as I plan on her doing her in her WW1 Guise and therefore won't need the Sheet. Check your PM for my Number and we can exchange it for you.....Cheers mark

Thanks Mark and Julian.

It was a pity the Artwox deck was wrong and caused a few hassles, but they are sending me a new one after they fixed the problem. Park from Artwox said they had made a 'terrible mistake' and he had already fixed it. I think they printed the decks upside down as the superstructure parts were on the opposite sides from where Revell had them. Now I just have to find another Emden to build with the new deck..

Cheers

Does anyone out there have the Emden decal sheet that they can send a scan of to me via email? Due to Revell's fantastic end opening boxes (|:() the original decal sheet has disappeared. Any help would be most appreciated.
Time for a beer or two and a meal up at the local Italian Restaurant... mmmmmm

Cheers
Warren

Hi Warren,

I have uploaded the scan HERE

I have also drawn the skylights, ready to apply as decals HERE:

Hope this helps!

I am extremely impressed that you went to all that trouble for me.
I will print them out later and have a go.

Ahoy Warren

This build kinda slipped of my radar. Dont know how?

Impressive build of this fine ship.

I also have one in my build pile.

What is your opinion of the GMM PE set?

Cheers

Wow! I missed this one by over 12 months!!

Sean, it is worth it just for the ratlines!

I am sure the old WEM stuff will be available again soon either from Tom's or Atlantic Models.

Very, very nice Warren. I don't normally like to directly copy another build but I think in this case I might have to. I'm sure every modeler brings his or her own take into every project. I keep going back and forth between color schemes for the Emden but I think I most want to do the white pre-war scheme. I think it will stand out better amid all the gray that I have.

I'll be checking back to this thread frequently when building my Emden.

Thanks for putting this back up near the top.

Hi Rodger.

It was purely unintentional believe me!

As too the colour scheme, feel free to copy it all you wish. I used a colour coat colour for the buff IIRC. But everything else is pure Tamiya acrylic.

Cheers mate and enjoy the build.

Roger, Revell of Germany has released the Edmen and her sister the Dresden in one boxing. This way you can do one of each

Warren, did you finish the rigging on her?

No Bruce I didn't. It went to a museum before I got the chance.

But I do have that Revell set in the stash and I do have wooden decks for them but I DON'T have the PE sets for them yet.

They will come back into stck one day?

I actually got the Dresden years ago. I totally messed up the aft section with the screws and rudder so I tried cutting her down to the waterline. That wasn't much better so I shelved her. I much prefer full hull ships so I picked up the Emden at IPMS Nationals when it was here in Colorado. I'm going to make a better effort at getting that rear section done properly.
