I offered once a while ago to take a look at the Lion Roar Yamato super detail set (1/350 scale). If it's available I am still interested Jeremy.

Hi guys,
Thanks for the great response so far. I have added a rather BIG addition to the page this morning so recheck the initial post for that and updates to items that are now spoken for, etc.

Cheers,
Jim

Hello Jim. I'd be willing to take a stab at the Italeri PT-109 if it's still available. I've built their PT-596, MAS, & Vosper kits. Al

Hi Al,
Apologies but it was assigned quickly and is ironically making the trip all the way back across the country to Massachusetts.

Thanks though!

Jim

Hi Jim.

I will give the Dryad a go if you want or any of the 1/700 Dragon stuff.

The Dryad should be interesting Warren, it's one of Jerzy Bin's resin masterpieces. I am surprised no one is trying to snare the Sevastopol. Took a look at it when I was in Antwerp this summer. It's an interesting subject and the Zvezda models have made a quality quantum leap the last few years. If I lived "State-side" I would have gone for it.

Julian

None of these, but if the long-awaited RoG Flower Class Corvette reissue comes across your door, I have the original kit to compare it to.

What's currently available? I don't know when I could build anyhting more than a 1/700 DD, yet I think could do an OK in-box review.

I'd take:

1/35 Italeri PT-109
JB Model JBPE-006 Japanese Anti-skid deck
1/700 Unryu

PM me?

Bill - It's yours if we get it.

All - I should mention that if there are any recent Hasegawa ship releases I can request those via Hobbico for review. Email me your interests.

Thanks, Boss!

It supposedly ships next month. I don't have the heart (or the cash) to get the $350 in PE upgrades that Great Little Ships sells for the original kit. David Parkins (GLS's owner) says you need about 1,000 hours to do the complete build with his sets of PE.

I have had the Corvette in the stash for a few decades now and am finally getting reading for her to enter the slipway. The GLS sets are on their way.. Well all except the most expensive one. That I am ordering next week..

DJ's Hedgehog, Pom-pom and Oerlikons were beautifully cast. I took a quick peek at my half finished build yesterday. Certainly not the way I would build it now

As in your skills have progressed far above what they were when you built the little grey corvette?

Yep, rather disconcerting to see the difference in techniques then and now. And not grey but in "Western approaches" splinter scheme.
