I agree about the 1/200 Kingfisher and catapult. It would be great to see this in 1/72. But it also makes me wonder if they've got something else planned in 1/200 ... like a heavy cruiser or battleship?

Riich Models actually released their 1/200 Kingfisher with their 1/200 USS GATO-212 (1944) + OS2U-3 Kingfisher, kit number RS 2002. You can find our news article here.
1/72 would be perfect for most of us, even up to 1/32 would be great. Our own Bill Cross built up Revell's 1/32 AR-196 on a resin catapult, which is an outstanding build that I think a catapult mounted 1/32 Kingfisher would look perfect next to. You can see his build feature here.
