Can the glue be removed with water once it has cured?

I've never tried it. It is milk white smowhat like school glue, but dries clear and very tough, almost like plastic. I'm courious though. I've put a blob on a piece of glass before just to see how tough and how well it adhered. I'm gonna do it again and after a couple days soak it in water just to find out. I'll post the result.

Hey Kenny,

I'd heard about your Gator glue before, but only just recently bought my first bottle. It was too late to use for the photoetched railing on my Olympia, which I had already attached with my usual polyvinyl acetate (PVA, i.e, Elmer's Glue). However, I did use it to attach the life rings and their photoetch racks:
I like this stuff a lot; it is similar to PVA but thicker out of the bottle and quite a bit stronger when dry. Water based, easy to work, and dries nice and clean - I'm a convert. Thanks for a great product!

I haven't tried this either, at least not when fully cured. My guess is that soaking with warm water would be your best choice. Kenny is the man to ask about regarding the final ward.

The test. I opened the bottle I was working out of and there was a plug of dried glue in the neck and part wat down the sides of the bottle. I pulled this out and decided that it was perfect for my test. It was tough, partly clear and flexible, kinda like a milk jug but rubberier.

I let it dry overnite, then put it in a container of warm water for about an hour. Part of it turned milky and soft and I could wipe it off, but the majority was still clearish and plasicky and very tough.

I think it would be very difficult to remove with water after it had dried.

Found a review on the stuff in this forum from 2007 or 08.

It just peels off like white glue (PVA).
