Has anyone made thier own photo etch parts using one of those PE kits such as the one from Micro Mark? I need rotors and props in 1/540 scale to complete a vintage Revell carrier.
I have found a maker of proper aircraft for the period in that scale. The GMM fret has only enough rotors for two hilos.
At $50.00 a pop I would need to get 6 more frets to have enough rotors.

Is it worth all that trouble? I got reasonable results with .010 inch plastic strip rotors on my 1/540 USS Midway helos...

You know, I hadn't even considered that. Sure would be worth a try. I'll post some results with the HSS-1 sea bats and the HUP-2 retriever resin aircraft.
thanks for jogging my brain a bit.
