Has anyone had any luck with really small pine trees ...or any kind of tall trees like palms?... say 1/700 scale ?? ive been getting kind of fustrated with this problem

In 1/700 not too much detail is required. For pine trees take a short length of plastic rod (5 - 10mm) and glue on some shredded foam (the kind for model RR scenery) and taper it to a pine tree shape.
