Finally got my hands on one of these! I'm going to purchase GMM's photo etch set and an ArtWox wooden deck, but I've noticed brass barrels for this kit seem to all be out of production. Are there any other detailing kits that exist for the Emden?
Basically, I'd like to use this kit to experiment new techniques with. I've worked with photo etch before, but never brass barrels or wooden decks. I have 1/350 Borodino and Bismarck queued up so I'd like to perfect a few techniques before I get to those.

Just added mine to the stash from ebay last week. Ordering from ArtWox looks like fun. If you can read Korean. I found the article but can't read any of the controls. Good luck to you on the ship. I look forward to seeing it done so I'll know what to look for.

Artwox wooden deck is incorrect. Do not purchase before you confirm it is the revised version. I know as I was the one who pointed out the probel to Artwox.

Too late
What are the problems with it? It's already shipped but I e-mailed Free Time Hobbies anyway to check if they would have sent the revised version or not.

It was cut upside down. I would send it back as the cutouts for the side pieces of the superstructure are on the wrong sides. That is slack of Artwox. They should have recalled all the faulty one. I was promised a new deck months ago but nothing has showed up.
