OS2U Kingfisher w/Launcher is a model set by Riich in 1/200 scale. The kit consists of two-each styrene Kingfisher floatplanes with styrene and photo-etched catapults.

Gee I wonder if it could be a pretty good thing to have for the upcoming 1/200 Missouri?.....

The scale may seem odd, but I'll bet the choice of 1/200 was taken to coordinate with the Trumpeter 1/200 scale USS Arizona. That kit came with two Kingfishers, but the Arizona actually had three aboard, so an aftermarket set makes some sense. And of course there is the upcoming 1/200 Iowa class from Trumpeter...

Tim, Warren,

Replies from you and others have overwhelmingly convinced me that this model is in response to Trumpeter shorting the USS Arizona air compliment by one.

Hi JPTRR,

Nice review on a nifty aftermarket set.

As to the 1/200 scale I would almost have to say that it is aimed at Card Modelers for there are several 1/200 scale kits out there that this would look good with from Cruisers to Battleships. A new 1/200 styrene kit would also benefit from this set as well.
