Hi guys,
Can anyone tell me what the current availability is on the Skywave 1/700 Buckley or Cannon class DE kits? I fancy building one as an RN Captain-class frigate some time in the near future.
There seem to be plenty of the Butler kits around, but the differences here are too pronounced. Not impossible, just more difficult.
Thanks in advance.
Stephen

Yikes how much are they going for??!!! Either that's due to greed on the sellers part or they're rarer than I believed!
Cheers anyway Andy, I'll keep my eyes open.

Looking at the prices of the other kits they have for sale, especially the 1/700 ships, they are grossly overpriced!
£27 for Tamiya's Z-class destroyer? £30 for a Typhoon class sub? Somethings not right here.
I did have a quick look on HlJ and they had the Buckley triple set for about 2000yen earlier in the year. Works out at about 12 or 13 quid. Too bad its sold out and no date as to when restock is expected.
I'm thinking of just getting the Trumpeter 1:350 as an alternative. Bigger, and still cheap and plentiful.

Hi guys,
just a quick update. Hobby Link Japan currently have the Buckley-class triple set back in stock. And at a reasonable price!
I just ordered myself one and would recommend anyone else who wants one to do likewise.
Soon I shall a couple of Captains on the shelf!
