MSW is in need of ideally 3 new staff members to join the 3 staffers who are already on the job. We are looking for staffers to help out in the news section and also for the features and review section. We need people who are able to edit images for use on the site and are willing to put themselves out for the members who call MSW home. Ideally at least one of the members will be in Europe to help the site to respond in a timely manner to incoming articles, and to go out looking for suitable material for the site. If you join the review/section staff you will be expected to edit and make 4 items live a month. If you join the news team you will be expected to do what needs covering and look for new items.

So what benefits are available for members sacrificing a portion of their free time for the benefit of other members?
You will be provided with a staff E-mail address with a 15 GB storage ability.
You will get access to a gallery with unlimited storage.
If you fulfil your commitments to the site you will receive preferential consideration for review samples that come in. I should point out that this does not mean you will automatically get that item. I should also point out that it would be a mistake to join the staff with review sample access being your deciding factor.

If this opportunity appeals to you please E-mail me using may staff E-mail address, which is
darren dot baker at kitmaker dot net
Please also CC the site publisher Jim Starkweather in on the E-mail at
jim dot starkweather at kitmaker dot net

Not new to the site, but new to being a registered member; eager to make my contribution, so POTENTIALLY willing, but not sure if I have a solid enough grasp on what is required in order to tell if I have the skills/time available to meet your needs. Perhaps we could have a go on a trial/probationary basis?

Anyone looking at joining the staff on the network needs to be able to provide about 3 hours a week to editing and adding new material to the network.

You will need a very basic knowledge of HTML, however as it is very basic it can be taught to anyone.

You will need the ability to edit and resize images.

Perhaps most importantly is that you are self-reliant and so do what is in front of you once trained.

Sean once trained you would be expected to edit, upload and publish features and reviews which will normally be assigned to you.

News articles have the above aspect to them but you would also be expected to look for new releases and publish news of them.

You are expected to check your staff E-mail address at least once a day unless on holiday or the like, and you would also be expected to subscribe to the staff forums as that way you will get an E-mail whenever a post is made in those areas.

It is primarily the news aspect that is the problem at the moment.

Ideally you will also need the ability to use Skype or at least have the needed hardware to use a VOIP programme. this is needed to cover the training of new staff and we have found this the easiet method of training staff. This is also the easiest way of getting a prompt answer to any questions you may or indeed if you just want to chat.

Thanks Darren.

Sounds similar to when I filled the role previously.

Great role indeed.

Cheers
