What a magnificent kick-off for the centennial of the
Great War at sea! I have the same kit in my stash and it's encouraging to see what can emerge from all that resin. And how about that rigging!
A beautiful rendition.

Ahoy Shipmates
Holy smoke!
I have been privileged to see this "in the flesh" as it were.
Not only is it a beautful ship Colin has truly excelled himself here yet again.
Great detailing, great finish etc. all round a fanatstic effort.
I understand this model is now on permanent display at the Royal New Zealand Navy museum. What more can I say! Please correct me if I am wrong.
Colin well done!
I am humbled & inspired by your builds each time they achieve a higher and higher level of finish etc.
Karl you are so right on each point.
Cheers
Sean

thank you karl for your kind words.
I enjoyed building the kit and detailing it with the aid of many photos of the ship. I lightly scribed the hull (mainly at the bow to indicate where the plating lines were on the lovely ship.
Kind regards
Colin

Thanks Simon for your comments. I enjoyed this build even though you don't get much in the way of instruction from Combrig kits. Adds to the challenge though.
Keep well

Hi Michael
Thank you for your comments re. HMS New Zealand.
Before you make a trip to Devonport to see the ship in the Navy Museum it might pay to ring and check that it is on display yet. When I handed the model over to them they were going to get a glass case made to display it.
Regards colin
