Hey everyone, new member but I've been lurking around for a long time - I'm currently working on a 1/700 Yamato, my first model for over 10 years not counting Warhammer 40k and the like (which, lets be honest, don't really count) and I'm probably making a right hash of it. Nevertheless I shall persevere, and I'm already planning my next model.

I want to make the Shimakaze destroyer, mainly due to this picture
which is pretty amazing. Problem being there is no specific PE kit for it (something I'm not using for my Yamato; gonna get in over my head with the destroyer, though!)

So has anybody got any advice? Any experience with the generic IJN Destroyer Kits?
