I contacted RCSUBS and have not heard back. All I am looking for is how to purchase the brass deck if I decide on this set over the wood deck. Any help on pricing and how to purchase from their site would be obliged.

Hello Alex, I send you a MP.
I cannot guide you with the covers of wood. Never use one. In the future when it end my U 530, I have in mind construct a type the IX using Oto's set.

The brass set for the Revell IXC U-boat just arrived and all I can write is amazing. There is so much detail on the frets provided: two large frets with deck sections and conning tower sections, wintergarten...just so much. The brass is very thin so be careful when handling it (already have a section sitting in a vise to straighten it out). Oto Gerza provided some plastic to stiffen the underside of the brass deck which was kind of him. I am wondering if I might go one step further and use the deck provided with the kit yet invert it...sand it down just a tad and it could give the impression of the boat's pressure hull. Hmmmm.
