Hi All,
I have The Trumpeter Z-30 in !/350 scale with a raised line depicting the water line. Should this line be the top of the boot topping (black stripe), the bottom, or, the middle?
If anyone has/is getting the kit remember there are extra light AA on the sprues (flakvierling and single bofors)and spare torps.
While I'm here can anyone recommend size and a supplier of appropriate thread (or something) to rig 350 beasties. Stretched sprue just doesn't work for me.
TIA
Tom

Hi Tom,
Personally, I believe this line to correspond to the top of the boot. It is also intended as a reference
for those who choose to model waterline and this is where you make the cut.
As far as rigging, the thinnest of fishing line or synthetic
extension hair works best for me, in this scale.
Cheers,
Joe

Tom,
WEM (White Ensign Models) sell Lycra rigging thread which is semi elastic and if to thick can be separated into thinner threads. Here
