I am in the process of gathering more data in order to carry on my scratch build of a waterline model of an EFC 1022 Type A Hog Islander in 1/48 scale.
My request for help is a real "shot in the dark".
I have the vessel dockside taking on cargo.
My question is what distance/dimension is the amount of freeboard of a Hog Islander before the vessel is loaded?
Right now I have a rough hull outline BUT I don't know how thick to cut it so I can further shape the hull. In other words I don't know how far up from the keel bottom to measure on the cross sections to produce a waterline model.
Thanks for any help
Will

Hi Will!
There's a photo of an empty Hog Islander on the net and it appears the unloaded waterline is about the same height from the water as the distance between the top of the waterline and the forward well deck (not counting the gunwhale). This will expose about half the rudder and almost all of a propeller blade.
