Hi everyone.

Would the rigging on a U-boat show slack towards the end of a patrol. The rigging is really slack on my build and regardless of what I do, it will not tense up. Also, I want to replicate the tensioners using a drop of Elmer's glue. I read of someone doing this with success. Any suggestions?

Hi Alex,

In most photos I have seen, there is a very slight sag on
these cables.

As far as the "tensioners", are you referring to the insulators?....the little oval shaped things on the cables.

What scale are you building in?.....they are included in 1:72.

If building in 1:144 or 1:350, white glue applied in thin layers will do the job.

Cheers,
Joe

Thanks Joe.

I'm building the 1/72 VIIC. It's a big boat, that's for sure. I think I'm just going to spring for the White Ensign set to use the insulators. White Ensign also has a lycra rigging. Any idea what the scale would be for the 1/72 boat? Or, if I bought fishing line, what would be a good choice. The thread that comes with the kit isn't convincing.

Thank you.

Alex
