The Type 22 (Broadsword class ) was designed to be a specialist anti-submarine warfare vessel as part of the Royal Navy's contribution to NATO and starting entering service in 1979

The Batch 3 type 22s were built with the lessons of the Falklands war, and without too much of the usual political interference and ended up well balanced and efficient ships.

Looks a great kit, even though I can't see 1/700th any more I am tempted, cos I don't think we will see one in 1/350.
