You could probably make do with generic German railing; Veteran Models make some Kriegsmarine bridge accessories and weapons; Sea Masters (and others) make turned brass barrels. You could even buy a Dragon German destroyer and raid it for parts. But from what I've read in reviews, you'll be trying to make a silk purse from a sow's ear.

I know Artwox makes a wood deck for that specific kit.

Thanks Michael, just found that. Looks like I'll be using generic German railings, inclined ladders and weapons.
As for 'silk purse from a sow's ear' I've read that the kit is better than the Dragon offerings in shape and size, although Z-17 is of the 'Type 1936' where as the Dragon and Trumpeter kits are all 'Type 1936A (mod)' or '1936B'.
Dragon and even Trumpeter offer better detail but do not offer a 'Type 1936' which has a shorter hull.

I'm starting to get the hang of this pe
