Hello everyone.
I am building a VIIC U-boat 1/72 and I'm using the half cylindrical mount on the conning tower. What was this? In addition, there is an aerial rod included with these parts? What color would this be painted in? Thanks. Alex

Alex,
Can you include a little more detail, or a pic?
All I can think of is a watertight storage container for something off hand.

This is what I'm talking about:

I can't get the photo in. It's the tower that runs up alongside of the conning tower before the wintergarten.

Perhaps you mean the tower section with the orange life preserver hanging from it ?
If so - that is the part of the housing for the main induction trunk, or the air intake for the diesel engines.
Painting would be the same as the rest of the boats topside vertical surfaces.
hope this helps / hope this works
(wish there was a preview button)

That's it. There is an aerial mounted to it (at least according to the kit?) Would that have been painted in the upper hull color as well or would it be bronze or???? Thanks a million. Alex
