Nice but don't hold your breath !
Disappointed to read
"The new scale model kit (5619) will complete our line dedicated to motor torpedo boats "

Given Italeri's (financially understandable) desire to get the most out of a set of molds, it might actually appear, unlike their previously announced and long anticipated, and now apparently scuttled, British X-craft. Also sorry to hear Italeri is finished with 1/35 MTB's. I was hoping for a 77' Elco PT and/or, a 78' Higgins. A later series Vosper would have been nice too. They could even do a 72 footer with the single twenty up front and a twin 20 mounted in place of the 'dustbin'. Hopefully, another manufacturer will pick up the gauntlet.

Hey! Maybe they're planning on releasing the four-stacker, HMS Campbletown, in 1/35, to go along with it! Now that would be something!

The sad note is that it states this completes their line of motor torpedo boats.

Interesting boat,
guess most of it will be the original Vosper, but well tempted to obtain on.
Tis bad news that it is the end of the line, also Pity we didn't get a fairmile D, that would have been a beauty in 1/35th.

Some good news. I checked this out with my friends at Italeri and they assured me that there would be additional torpedo boat subjects. Just a little translation confusion I suppose.

Were any specific subjects discussed? New models, or variations of existing boats? Inquiring minds want to know.

This will make an interesting variant and who knows if Italeri want to maxamise the hull possibly a later version in the future?
Good to see they plan to continue the range, pity the Xcraft got shelved and I do hope they get around to a new LCA at some point.
I've been off on a WW1 adventure of late so I'm no nearer starting the original although I did order up the Griffon PE set so that's one step closer to making a start.
Cheers

Boy, talk about British understatement! I'd call it more of an WW1 Odyssey, Alan. Which, BTW, is looking really impressive.

A photo of MTB 378. Wouldn't it be nice to see Italeri do this boat?

Heck, if someone made an after-market twin 20mm mount, it wouldn't be too hard to modify the original kit to this configuration. Al

(P.S.) I'm curious about the two poles mounted between the forward 20mm and the wheelhouse. Anybody know their purpose? To keep an excited gunner from shooting up his own boat? Al
