I finally received my Trumpeter 1/200 Bismarck! I am amazed at the detail, but I am looking for a reference book that I can use to do it justice. Any suggestions? I have been building models since I was a wee lad, but this seems like quite a challenge. In fact my wife says I can't complete this task in a year. I hope to prove her wrong.

Hi Scott,
I would recommend one of those. The anatomy series giving good drawings and a thorough understanding of the design and layout, including a brief history and some nice pictures; it's all 2D and it's helpful if you have seen a technical drawing before:

Koop/Schmolke giving a good reference, many pictures and thorough explanations about propulsion, armor, weapons, along with several drawings. It's no 'stunning read' but lot's of solid information:
