Ahoy Colin
What a truly beautiful model.
"Mouthwatering" is the adjective that comes to mind for me.
The use of the airbrush has catapulated your models to another level.
I can see your finishes will just get better and better as you master the airbrush
Well done my friend.
Cheers
Sean

Very nice indeed. I'm noticing the details, especially the PE parts, the boats, the boat deck and midships areas. One question, though...why start with the Prince of Wales model to make this one? Doesn't Tamiya still make a KGV?

Hi Chuck
Thanks for the kind words. I really wanted to use the PONTOS set and it is designed to be used to modify the Prince of Wales to make it into the early fir KGV.
The Tamiya KGV kit depicts the ship in a later fit when the boat deck had been moved forward to the area where the seaplane launching gear and hangars are.The seaplane was discarded then and more AA guns were added to the old boat deck area. I hope this answers your question.
Kind Regards
Colin.

Hi Russell
Thanks for your encouragement. Being familiar with your work I have no doubt your Kgv will easily be as good as mine and probably better.
Cheers mate

Voted on by the members and I understand that it won by a very wide margin as well.
A great accomplishment!
