Alan,

You have done a superb job on this boat!
Really like it....paint & weathering and crew...super!

Just minor observations, I believe your running lights on
the conning tower are not painted in....red for port side
green for starboard.

Also, the insulators should be dark bottle green or dark
brown/black....these were the two common colors of these
ceramic insulators.

And maybe a brass colored bell.

Beautiful work!

Cheers,
Joe

Hi Alan, you did an outstanding job with this boat. while i was lucky to watch this one build up, i can say every step was done with great skill. For me the weathering and the realistic water are some of the highlights.

Thanks very much for the pointers Joe. I have spotted the lights, and will update the insulators. And it's really a bell! I thought it was a lamp. Thanks Bernd, for your encouragement when things were starting to go wrong! It kept the thing going and I'm really happy with the result.

Great work. It seems you've avoided the lack of a pressure hull by doing a waterline version. Brilliant.

Hi Alan,

Yes it is a bell.
The lamp is the object on the upper tower casing where it meets
the platform.
I see it on the 10th pix just above the insulator diagonally
to the lower left of the bell.
Maybe a little silver with some gloss overcoat for the lens.
Cheers,
Joe
