Italeri is finally going to re-release their long unavailable 1/35 PT Boat Crew Set (#5606).
This is the original 10 figure set not the newer one (#5616) that they released for their PT-109 kit. Good news for PT fans. Now if they'll only complete the series with a 77' Elco and a 78' Higgins! Are you listening Italeri? Al

According to some peoples' claims - Merit could take these figures and pantograph them too down to 1/48 for their PT boats. But seriously, somebody should make a 1/48 crew - preferably in plastic.

I think Merit would do better starting from scratch rather than trying to down-size these figures. I was kinda surprised that when the Italeri 109 came out no resin manufacturer stepped up with a JFK figure at the very least. Al

I reached out to most of them. None had any interest.

That was to be taken with a really BIG grain of salt!

Thanks for the heads up Al, put in my order for 2 sets. Even with the problems you mentioned, it's what we have to work with so I figured with both sets enough for the 103 class Elco and enough left over for all the landing craft and a Higgins if and when it sees daylight past my dreams. Again, are you listening Italeri, a 78' Higgins pretty please.
