What a nifty set of pics! I really like the one with the P-47's going down the Liverpool street with the girl on a bicycle watching intently.

One of the Intrepid carrying all these planes would be a neat one - if you could get all those planes in the same ship scale.

Or these PBY's on an escort carrier:

Note the fading -not a batch of factory new planes.

Great pics John.

Now all we need are some more escort carriers in 1/350th scale in order to have some fun.

John thanks for sharing, these are in deed nice photos, as others have stated love the CVE with the PBY's on deck.

Click on the picture and it comes up as the USS Thetis Bay CVE-90 a Casablanca class, so Hasegawa Gambia Bay kit, L'Arsenal do the PBY's and the Duck

OK found the photo on the Wiki page for USS Thetis Bay and the caption reads:
'The U.S. escort carrier USS Thetis Bay (CVE-90)enroute to NAS Alameda, California with a deckload of war-weary planes in 1944. The planes visible on deck are eight Consolidated PBY Catalina flying boats, 18 Grumman F6F Hellcat fighters, and a Grumman J2F "Duck" amphibious biplane.'

Does anyone know if anyone makes deck vehicles for a 1/350 scale WW2 carrier? I saw a Blackdog set for modern ships, but am looking for some for my Yorktown, with no luck.
