Hi All,
Any suggestions on improving the hawse pipes on Trumpeter's QE in '350?
I'm thinking of opening out the blanks on the forecastle then adding filler into the inside of the hull and, when set, sculpting out the (sorta) conical shapes until they match with the deck and side openings.
While I;m here any ideas for the quarterdeck?
There's an opening moulded to depict a hawse pipe, but no anchor chain or any of the machinery associated with such.
Was, at some point, the stern equipment removed and the hawse plated over?
TIA
Tom
