Dragon do a 1942 Laffey and a 1945 Benson (sister ship) both in 1/350, they are both nice kits.

Dragon also make 3 ships of the Gearing class in 1/350 which were almost identical - with a difference of 14'. There is the Gearing DRA1029; Frank Knox DRA1045; and Chevalier DRA1046 - each one in a different fitting. If you can get past the 14' difference, or do some surgery, one of the Dragon kits should work.

Chevalier was converted as a radar picket and that's what you get in the box
