Aoshima is releasing an updated version of their kit of the IJN battleship
Kirishima. A
Kongo class battleship, Kirishima began life classified as a battlecruiser and became a 'fast battleship' after several refits in her 37service life.

I welcome this model. Kirishima v Washington is the apex of the incredible First and Second Naval Battles of Guadalcanal, either of those the culmination of a series of remarkable naval battles of that campaign. I hope to have this model on my desk someday.
