July 2015 release of kit PITSPW-37, the Imperial Japanese Navy destroyer 
IJN Takanami w/New Equipment Parts in 1/700 scale.

Pit-Road models usually satisfy me; this one still looks good but I gotta pause when the fantail flag mast is so much thicker than the 4.7-inch gun barrels.  The “New Equipment Parts”  look like a mixed bag.

I know what you mean; Skywave/Pit Road gets so much right, but they still insist on those ridiculously thick flag and jack staffs! They tend to be on target with the bigger stuff, though.
