Hello All;
Just found a Glencoe USS Oregon on ebay that still had the shrink wrap on it and it looked good from the pictures so I bought it with free shipping to boot. I know this is a old kit so what do you think I am in for.

Nice addition to the stash Bill! While I don't have intimate knowledge of the kit, I did have a peek and it looks to be decent if you ask me. With any luck, one of the fellas here has built of see one built up and have some idea on what you are in for! Looking forward to seeing you have your way with the plastic soon!

Hi Bill,
Here is a link to a build from 2008 on MSW that may be of help.

I have the same kit and also find the build blog by Marcos Serra to be an incredible guide.

The mid decking needs extensive alterations to be accurate but the results can be well worth it.

I had to have it since she's essentially of America's first class of Battleship (BB-1 Indiana).

Just got my Oregon delivered and man is she sweet. Taking the shrink wrap off gave me chills. I know there is major surgery to be done but I think I can get through it, it will be a journey. Working on Tsesaravich right now so its on the back burner for now but Im glad I found her.

Just recieved the photoetch from Toms Model Works. This is a very nice set. I have the mid deck surgery almost complete and so far it wasnt that bad. I am folowing Marcos build log and it is a great help.

I'm a month into the Glencoe Oregon and its proving a real challenge due to all the major inaacuracies and mold issues to be dealt with for a good model. Panzerserra's log is a great guide.
