A bit more etch construction,
The 965 radar array.
Not perfect, a few tweeks needed, but it will look ok under a coat of paint.
More soon.

Now I have all these lovely fragile structures lying around, time to get some paint on them. Sprayed with good old Tamiya XF1. (had 1/2 a cup full in the airbrush, shame to waste it.
The foremast fitted, with the diesel exhaust inside it.
Mainmast & 965 fitted.
Overall view of the build so far.
Cheers.

Thanks Todd,
I am pleased with look of both masts now they have paint on. The lattice mast especially, still a couple of sub assemblies to go on that, but I felt safer with that fragile assembly glued down.
Cheers, Si

Amazing work, all the well applied brass on the masts and the careful paint job making this frigate to a stunning sight.
A good example, why super detailed naval builds are so exciting.

Thanks Bernd,
I do enjoy tinkering with detail, especially when aided and abetted by a really good etched fret.
Cheers.

Looking very sharp Simon.
If those sheets of PE in the photo are for Puma looks like you still have a fair bit of work to go.
cheers

Great work, Si
I missed out on several of your updates here during my time 'off', great progress. Especially good work with all the radar equipment!
Cheers,
Jan

Hi Michael,
One of them is, but there is still quite a bit to do.
Thanks Jan,
It is quite a complex little beast, but real fun to build.
Cheers for the comments guys.

Very nice, Si!!
- I have to admit, I did not catch the wrong position of the mainmast versus the FC equipment, I had to scroll back in your build log...well, luckily not much damage done, and great recovery
Cheers,
Jan

Silly mistake, but got away with it. Getting there overall quite pleased with the way she is turning out.
Cheers
