Mirage's two torpedo boat kits, the OPR “Podhalanin” (ex German Navy A80) and German A86 Torpedoboot , get new PE details from North Star. Both of these World War I era boats get railings, ladder ways, depth charge deck tracking and more.

I've been waiting for something like this! I have the kit but it's still in the box as it looks a little uninspiring! I hope North Star makes replacement weapons, etc, too.

These photoetch parts look super. Still, I wish PE manufacturers would just include generic railings with some extra length. The ship-specific runs of railing are handy, but they lack flexibility for customization (and to cover the inevitable mistakes!)

I prefer measured railing sections. That way there's no guess work or messing around, and you always get a stanchion at the corners. Plus (if the PE designer is accurate) the right type of railing for specific locations. Generic rail lengths are easy to source from dozens of PE manufacturers. ...but those are just my druthers.

Great looking etched set,

Fancy a pit of that, a very interesting looking little vessel.

Cheers.
