I missed this one that was released last month, a K-Class(K Type on the box cover) British submarine. They were built from 1916 to 1923 and were to be large, fast vessels with the endurance and speed to operate with the battle fleet.

Have Micromir improved lately? I have their 1/35 Marder (mini sub - not tank destroyer!) still in the box. Looks very '70's tech - soft surface detail, simplified, and not a great fit. If I ever get a "round toowit" ( ) I'll use left over Bronco torpedo parts to improve it.

I have one Micro Mir kit, a USS Sturgeon submarine. The engraved detail is pretty good but a nuclear sub doesn't have much detail to begin with.

I found this build of one going now in the BritModeler forums:

I think Pit-Road had a K-Class in 1/350 and wonder if it's their mold.

A Calamity class, I'll take on.
Who ever thought fitting a sub with boilers which need to be shut down before you can dive needs their head looking at.

Hmmm...looks like a lot should be improved or replaced!
